Qualifications

Master's Programs (M.Sc., M.A.) / Combined Degree Programs (Master's and Ph.D.)
Overseas Korean Nationals or Foreigners
 - who have already received (or expect to receive) a Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college or
 - whose educational credential is authorized by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology
    of Korea to be equal to a Bachelor's degree

Ph.D. Programs
Overseas Korean Nationals or Foreigners
 - who have already received (or expect to receive) a Master's degree from an authorized graduate
    school or
 - whose educational credential is authorized by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology
    of Korea to be equal to a Master's degree

 
Procedure

1. Inquiry of admission and scholarship with a professor in interested major

2. Submission of required documents (to the Office of International Affairs and Education)
3. Review of submitted documents
4. Interview (If applicable)
5. Notification of result
6. Payment of tuition
7. Admission (Sent to each applicant by mail)

4. Certificate of Bachelor's Degree
5. Certificate of Master's Degree (Only for Ph.D. Programs applicants)
6. Undergraduate Transcript
7. Graduate Transcript (Only for Ph.D. Programs applicants)
8. Letter of Recommendation from a professor in the previous university
9. Copy of Passport
10. Copy of Foreigner Registration Card (Only for current residents of Korea)
11. Documents for Financial Support

Documents for financial support (should meet one of the three conditions below)
A. Self-supporting applicants
  - Bank Statement indicating a minimum balance of US $5,000 longer than a month

B. Applicants with a professor as a financial sponsor
    (These documents should be prepared by an advisor)

  - Letter of Financial Support from an advisor

C. Applicants with a Korean financial sponsor

  - Sponsor's Bank Statement indicating a minimum balance of US $5,000 longer than a month

Applicants with Chinese citizenship need to submit following documents as well.
1. Original Household Register containing all family members (if it does not contain
     parent's information, Certificate of Family Relation needs to be submitted together)
2. Two color photos (4 x 5cm) for visa application

 

Notes

1. Application should be printed or typed in English or Korean.
2. All official certificates should be translated in Korean and notarized if not written in English
    or Korean.
3. All submitted documents will not be returned except original documents.
