Qualifications

Master's Degree / Integrated Master's and Ph.D. Degree
1. Foreigners whose parents are also foreigners.
2. Anyone who already received (or expects to receive before Feb. 24, 2011) a Bachelor's degree
    from a 4-year university, or whose educational credential is authorized by Ministry of Education,
    Science and Technology of Korea to be equal to a Bachelor's degree

Ph.D. Degree
1. Foreigners whose parents are also foreigners.
2. Anyone who already received (or expects to receive before Feb. 24, 2011) a Master's degree from
    an authorized graduate school, or whose educational credential is authorized by Ministry of
    Education, Science and Technology of Korea to be equal to a Master's degree
3. Anyone whose study area in Master’s degree is similar with the applying major

* The scholarship (90% of the tuition fee) is applied to all international students.
* Entrance Fee of KRW 732,000 is charged to all students.

* The above tuition fee is for one semester.
* The above entrance fee and tuition fee are for Year 2010. Successful applicants need to pay the
  difference later once the entrance fee and tuition fee for Year 2011 are confirmed.
* The unit of the admission is the Major, not the detailed major.
* Integrated Master’s and Ph.D. degree are available at the departments offering Ph.D. degree
  except Medicine and Education.
Additional Scholarship (Applicants with majors in Engineering or Natural Sciences) - Funding
  1. Applicants seeking for an additional scholarship need to discuss with a professor in the major for
      the availability.
      * Refer to the ‘2011-1 Professors’ Profile’ for the contact information of the professors offering

  2. Additional Scholarship covers the rest 10% of the tuition fee (meaning the full tuition) and also living
      expenses. (Entrance fee is not waived)
  3. Applicants who are approved of the additional scholarship from a professor need to write down the
      professor's information at the Application Form section #4. (The signature of the professor will
      be acquired at University of Ulsan after the documents are submitted)

11. Copy of Alien Registration Card (Only for current residents in Korea)
12. Copy of Parent's ID card
13. Certificate of Family Registry (or any legal documents verifying applicant's family relationship)
14. Documents for Financial Support
      1) Self-supporting or parents-supporting applicants
         - Bank statement indicating a minimum balance of US $5,000 longer than a month
      2) Applicants who receive the funds (full scholarship and living expenses) from a professor
          at University of Ulsan
         - Fill in the Professor's information on Section #4 of the Application Form
         - Send the Application Form without the signature of the professor.
         (The signature will be acquired at University of Ulsan after the documents are submitted)

Additional Documents for Chinese Citizen
1. Household Register(居民戶口簿)
   - Additional Certificate of Family Registry is not required if the Household Register contains
    all family members.

Notes to documents submission (Read carefully and follow the instruction)
1. Application, Study Plan and Personal statement must be filled out either in Korean or English,
   and they must be typed and printed out except for the signatures.M
  (Use the new version of these documents attached here. Any applications in old version will
  not be accepted)
2. All the official certificates (such as Certificate of Degree, Transcript, Certificate of Family Registry,
   Bank Statement) issued outside of Korea must be translated into Korean or English if they are
   in other languages, and notarized, then must be verified and certified by the Korean Embassy
   in the country.If the country is the member state of Apostille, the Apostille Verification may be
   attached instead.
3. For Chinese applicants, only the original documents are acceptable. (No notarization or
   verification is required)
   - All the documents will be screened by the Ministry of Justice (Immigration Office) in Korea

4. The scale of the Transcript must be based on 100. If not, the score must be recalculated based
    on a 100 scale and the recalculation must be on the official transcript issued by the school.
5. Letter of Recommendation must be in an envelope and properly sealed.
6. On the Copy of Passport, write down the exact address, phone/fax number, homepage and
    email address of the institutions you graduated. (For Verification Report)
7. Documents only issued within 3 months are applicable.
8. Submitted documents are not returnable. The university may request to submit supplemental
    documents during the admission process.
9. Obtaining a visa after receiving the Certificate of Admission is strictly students’ responsibility.
* Documents that do not meet the above guidelines will NOT be accepted.

1. Enrolment Period: Jan. 3 ~ Jan. 7, 2011
    * Failure to the enrolment during the above period will result in the termination of the admission.
